HIS pursuit of a “better way” to help match employees with businesses has earned Nedlands entrepreneur Tim Brady a 40under40 business award.

The Credo Group founder received the honour last month that recognises the commercial and philanthropic pursuits of young businesspeople.

Credo, which is Latin for “trust”, has an annual turnover of more than $20 million, and has offices in Perth and Melbourne.

The company was previously named one of BRW magazine’s fast 100 companies for 2008 and 2009.

A former accountant and national sales director for a recruitment agency, Mr Brady created the company to provide workforce mobilisation services with a strong values-based culture.

“We have strong working partnerships with organisations such as Salvation Army Employment Plus and Mission Employment, providing opportunities for long-term unemployed people,” he said.

“We set up the Aspire program to develop our employees to their full potential and give back to the community.

“For example, our partnership with the Sacred Heart Mission in Melbourne assists the homeless by providing them with hot meals every day of the year.

“We actively encourage and enable our employees to volunteer during company time to work in the (mission’s) market garden, setting up wire fencing, laying water drip systems and weeding.

“Another group of our employees stand side by side with volunteers and prepare and serve a hot lunch for the homeless.”

Mr Brady said he was looking to establish a similar program in Perth.
